Screening Protocol

ODESSA COLLEGE SCREENING PROTOCOL

Effective May 26, 2020 – All employees, visitors, students and vendors will be required to complete a mandatory COVID-19 health screening and go through one of the following screening checkpoints each day they arrive on campus. The following checkpoints will be open:

  • Saulsbury Campus Center – Monday – Thursday, 7:30 am to 7 pm and Fridays, 7:30 am to 5 pm
  • Spur Building – Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 7:30 am to 5 pm and Tuesdays, 7:30 am to 7 pm
  • Learning Resource Center – Monday – Thursday, 7:30 am to 5 pm
  • Administration Building – Monday – Thursday, 7:30 am to 5 pm 
Employees, visitors, students and vendors will be required daily to confirm that:
You are not experiencing the following new or worsening symptoms of COVID-19:
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Chills
  • Repeated shaking with chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Diarrhea
  • Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 99.2 degrees Fahrenheit
    • Temperature checks will begin June 1, 2020 at screening checkpoints
  • Known close contact with a person who has been lab confirmed within the past 14 days to have COVID-19 
Employees, students, or campus visitors who present with the new or worsening signs or symptoms of COVID-19 (below) will not be allowed to return to campus until:
  • At least 3 days (72 hours) have passed since recovery (resolution of fever without the use of fever-reducing medications); and,
  • The individual has improvement in respiratory symptoms (e.g., cough, shortness of breath); and,
  • At least 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared; OR
  • Presentation of lab-confirmed negative COVID-19 test (antigen test not accepted) or note from medical professional clearing individual for return.

Employees who present with new or worsening symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in known close contact with a person who has been lab confirmed within the past 14 days to have COVID-19 must notify Human Resources immediately.

Students who present with new or worsening symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in known close contact with a person who has been lab confirmed within the past 14 days to have COVID-19 must notify the Vice President of Student Services via email kmckay@ctienviron.com or phone 432-335-6683 immediately.

If you are not feeling well, call 68-NURSE. If you need help with food or bills call 211.
 
Please continue taking recommended precautions to protect yourself and others while on campus: avoid close contact with others; cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze; avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth; clean and disinfect surfaces and objects that may be contaminated; wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
